We are offering paid training programmes for those wishing to gain essential skills in dealing with the public. Sessions will be held across Gwynedd with opportunities to work in CAB offices in Bangor, Caernarfon, Pwllheli, Dolgellau and Llandudno.
The training programme is offered for 24 hours per week:
Phase 1:
Four weeks of classroom-based training, looking at essential skills in dealing with clients and advice, including hands-on experience helping people on the phone, face-to-face and via email and webchat.
Phase 2 (for successful candidates from phase 1):
12 weeks of on-the-job work experience with a dedicated supervisor in one of our offices in Bangor, Caernarfon, Pwllheli, Dolgellau or Llandudno.
Phase 3 (for successful candidates from phase 2) :
further 36 weeks of on-the-job work experience in one of our offices in Bangor, Caernarfon, Pwllheli, Dolgellau or Llandudno with a view to a permanent post if funding allows. There may be an opportunity to gain a relevant NVQ alongside this stage of the programme.
At each stage of the programme, participants will receive support in seeking permanent employment, either with CAB Gwynedd or with other local organisations employing people in customer-facing roles.
